Reusable, Washable, Metallic, And Denim Chevron, Rhinestones Face Mask

Wear safety wear that matters. You don't have to harm the environment to look chic. You can protect yourself while protecting the planet.

Because wearing a face mask is now our new normal, it is important to me, that I create a unique safety wear collection, that explores fabric manipulation techniques.

So, to make a great looking, good quality, and long-lasting face mask that brings meaning, joy and value to the wearer every day, it matters that I create, upcycle, and reuse as much discarded articles of clothing and textiles as possible. Mindfully and purposefully using each piece of material efficiently.  

I have used scraps of repurposed denim jeans, which I have purposely distressed, together with parts of metallic textile offcuts, to reconstruct and create a stylish face mask with layered, textured chevron detailing, which have been highlighted with strands of rhinestones. 

This mask is handmade with multiple layers which form part of the textile design detailing. It also features a denim jean layer, as well as, African cotton batik printed fabric, which is used as the third layer.

This makes it very breathable and comfortable to wear.

it also features para-cord ties, which can be tied behind the head to the wearers preferred fit.

This mask is not N95 or FDA rated, it is specifically designed as preventative safety wear to shield your face, mouth, and nose. The wearing of a face mask such as this could still reduce the transmissibility of viral particles by a small but significant amount, enough to make a difference to you and others.
