The Ezihe, meaning 'A good thing' in the Igbo language of South-Eastern Nigeria, is a very bold, very expressive, nature-inspired, lightweight jewellery piece with a dramatic OTT appeal.
For this pair of earrings, it matters to reduce, reuse and transform, so these statement pair are made entirely from upcycled scraps of denim jeans, which I have intentionally distressed using various coloured pieces of denim, crystals, rhinestones and glass beads.
I have tastefully put all these details together to create a breathtaking design that resembles Tulip buds I have arranged in a hoop style. The exaggerated denim petals are lined with rhinestones that intricately run across the structure's length, forming veins, glistening when light is absorbed.
These opulent details are beautifully finished off with brass post back fastenings which are suitable for pierced ears.
