Intricately handcrafted from vintage hand-loomed  anaphe wild silk Aso-oke fabric, multifaceted crystal glass beads, glass beads, vintage buttons, acrylic tube beads, carved acrylic beads, cowrie shells, Moroccan amazonite pottery beads, wooden beads, gold and silver plated brass, cotton tassels, vintage Moroccan shell hand of Fatima amulet, mother-of-pearl, silver and blue enamel gilt pendant from Uzbekistan with inlaid faux coral and turquoise stones and silver plated brass metal bell fringe

Aso oke fabric, (Yoruba: Așǫ oke, pronounced ah-SHAW-okay) is a hand loomed cloth woven by the Yoruba people of Western Nigeria. Aso oke also means top cloth in the English Language. This special cloth is usually hand woven by men.
Please note the Aso-Oke used in this beautiful cross bag/ clutch is more than 25 years old, It was passed on to me as a family heirloom. Any imperfection on the fabric is not a flaw, it shows the age and uniqueness of this special piece.
This bag features a Moroccan Hand of Hamsa amulet also known as the Hand of Fatima. A Middle Eastern amulet symbolising the hand of God. In all faiths, it is a protective sign known to bring happiness, luck, good health, and good fortune to the wearer.
