Reusable, Washable, Distressed, Denim Weave Face Mask

Ethical and safety are our new normal.

Staying safe doesn't have to be aesthetically irresponsible. We can remain stylish while being sustainably conscious about our choices and the value and joy it brings to our daily needs.

So, to make a great quality face mask that will last, and serves the wearer well, it matters to me to upcycle discarded articles of clothing, and use it mindfully to create a one of a kind statement safety wear that is different from the rest.

I have used scraps of repurposed denim jeans, which I have purposely distressed, using the inner and outer parts of various coloured pieces of denim to create an interesting weaving technique which I have pieced together and sewn down with zero-waste. 

This mask is handmade with three layers of fabrics. The top layer and the second layer are made of denim, and the third layer is 100% repurposed striped cotton fabric. The use of cotton makes this face mask breathable and comfortable to wear.  It also features soft elastic loop which can be tied and tightened to your preferred fit.

This mask is not N95 or FDA rated, it is specifically designed as preventative safety wear to shield your face, mouth, and nose. The wearing of a face mask such as this could still reduce the transmissibility of viral particles by a small but significant amount, enough to make a difference to you and others.
